Dahlia
Dahlia is a genus of bushy, tuberous, perennial plants native to Mexico, Central America, and Colombia. There are at least 36 species of dahlia. Dahlia hybrids are commonly grown as garden plants. The Aztecs gathered and cultivated the dahlia for food, ceremonies, as well as decorative purposes,[3] and the long woody stem of one variety was used for small pipes.*
These are my favorite flowers, they are large and very colorful. The girl at Golden Acre explained it best, they look like fireworks, like they are exploding. I love it.
A to Z Project
Although I was rejoicing when I completed my 365 project, I am starting to miss having a photo project. After tossing around a few different ideas I have decided on the A to Z project.
A is for Apple

I have finally joined the iPhone generation. I was a blackberry girl for a long time, but when I started using my boyfriend’s iPhone all the time instead of my blackberry – I decided it was time to make the change, and I am really happy I did.
Candle Holder
This candle holder was part of a gift the my friend Nicole gave me as a house warming gift when I bought my first home just about a year ago. It is very unique.

Daisy Up Close
Some of my daisies are starting to wilt, which is sad, but all part of their natural life cycle. I am glad I was able to share their beauty with you.
Guard well your spare moments. They are like uncut diamonds.
Discard them and their value will never be known. Improve them
and they will become the brightest gems in a useful life.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Gardeners , like everyone else, live second by second and minute
by minute. What we see at one particular moment is then and
there before us. But there is a second way of seeing. Seeing
with the eye of memory, not the eye of our anatomy, calls up
days and seasons past and years gone by.

Happy Birthday

Ribbons are so bright and fun, you can’t help but smile and feel happy when you see them.
Buddha
This is the face of a statue my sister gave me. I think it is supposed to represent a female Buddha. Either way I think it is very cool. Here are few Buddhist sayings that I found:
*Fill your mind with compassion
*What we think, we become
*Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so, let us all be thankful
*Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one getting burned.

Coffee Beans
It is Sunday night and I am pretty tired from the busy weekend. I am thinking that coffee might be a necessity tomorrow morning. Good night and good morning everyone.
